About

Thistles are a German/Indian/Dutch trio from Cologne, formed in 2023. Guitar, bass, drums — nothing else, and nothing else needed.

The band grinds post-punk, noise rock and shoegaze into long, physical arcs: patient builds, walls of feedback, sudden quiet. Songs take their time and then refuse to behave.

Their first release, "demo recordings 2025 — live at rehearsalroom", was cut live in one room — no overdubs, no safety net. That is also what you get on stage.
